Art4Justice: PAID INTERNSHIP

Thanks for your interest in joining the Art4Justice Committee! The 8-person, youth-led Committee will be responsible for planning and hosting two separate community arts events, one in early May and another in late June. These events will showcase the creative talent of young artists in Seattle who produce art with the purpose of lifting up the community and furthering social and environmental justice. Both events will be hosted by the Vera Project, dates TBD.
Pending grant approval, Committee members will be paid a stipend of $500 each to compensate them for their time and efforts toward developing and executing the goals of the project. We are actively seeking a diverse and talented team of youth who will bring their unique skills and passions to the group. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, religion, or nationality.
In order to make the events a success, we require that applicants can commit to 2-hour weekly meetings (March-June, 2010) and several additional hours per week of project-related work in each student’s specific field/s of interest (e.g. blogging, graphic design, promotion, etc.).
