i think the choice of killing your self should be your decision but i would not reccomend it to anyone. but at the same time i dont think that euthanasia should be legal because i dont think that any doctor would want that on there minds when they sleep at night cause i dont think any real man or women would want to to take another persons life unless they really had to.

i think i've heard this thing you're talking about. i think we discussed it in our class. you get to kill yourself by just drinking this drug that doctors give and you won't feel any pain. you just sleep then you won't wake up anymore. it is legalized in some places. but my teacher told us that doctors only give this some kind of "suicide drug" to patients that is really old or has deadful disease and are about to die. they have personal reasons on why they do that. they may not want to be in pain anymore or they may not want to be a pain in their family anymore and other reasons. doctors allow patients to take this drug only if their statement(s) are acceptable and reasonable.

i think if someone is in unbearable pain, and they dont want to die that way, than they should have the option to die in a painless way. However, I think that if they are depressed, giving the option of suicide shouldn't be the solution. I think that they should receive help and that "assisted suicide" (is that what its called?) should be the very last option. However I think this is a very controversial topic because there are so many possible deaths that could occur on accident or simply because the doctors were wrong in their diagnosis.

i personally think that, anyone has their own right to do what ever it is they feel to. If you're grown and already make most decisions for yourself then go with it. As, you think about all possibilities, and whether or not, if its worth it. The outcome is your own responsibility.

I thin Euthanasia(Assisted suicide) should not be an option at all. That is what morphine or anesthetics are for. I can see that analgesics don't always work, but anesthetics will. Some people just want to die because they are in emotional pain, and that's worse than physical pain...trust me, I know. Emotional pain can deaden the physical senses.

Euthanasia isnt simply for a little pain. When someone wants to be euthanized, they have to be approved by two different doctors just so that it is made sure that they aren't just trying to kill themselves with "dignity". If a person is a "vegetable" and isn't ever going to wake up from a coma, would you let them sit there and rot til they died? That's a personal decision, but in states where this is legal people can have the option to end their life peacefully. In most states a patient can only be euthanized if they themselves sign a paper asking for it and two doctors also approve it. They are very careful with the entire process and don't approve just anyone.
