A Bill to Prohibit Smoking in Motor Vehicles When a Minor is Present

Article I: That smoking tobacco in a motor vehicle when a minor is present shall be  prohibited. 

Article II: Smoking tobacco shall be defined as lit cigarettes, pipes, and/or cigars. A motor vehicle shall be defined as any closed automobile. A minor shall be defined as anyone under the age of 18.

Article III: The provisions of this bill shall take effect January 1, 2010.

Article IV: Policemen and traffic cops shall be responsible for enforcing the provisions of this bill. Violations of the provisions of this bill shall be punishable by $100 fine for the first offense and a $200 fine for each additional offense. Once the violator reaches his or her third offense, his or her license will be reversed for six months. 

 Article V: All laws in conflict with this bill shall be declared null and void.
