"sex sells" hits high on the charts?

I know im not the only teen whose seen or heard one of new, young, unique, singer, Lady Gaga's song. Below i have a link of another blog writer's opinoin on Lady Gaga's use of "Disco Stick" and how sexual appeal attracts listeners. Does her song have a meaning? The only part that gets stuck in your head is "disco stick", and what does that remind you of? *cough* i think you and i both know what it reminds you of.

I think that our culture depends too much on sex as a commodity. I personally do not identify with the type of explicit sexuality in pop culture these days. That is why it is important for us to create our own media, to show others how we want to be seen. For example, a good photo shoot for me that means me looking cute geeky with a book. How would you prefer to be seen, if the media did something about you?
